The swearing in ceremony is Monday Nov 10th at 8 pm at City of Groton Municipal Building,

295 Meridian St., Groton. The public is welcome to attend.

Jill Rusk is a longtime resident of the City of Groton with an extensive work history and track record of volunteering her time to serve our community in public service. She has a unique background that includes employment in the City Mayor’s office, City Councilor, Groton Town RTM Moderator, and Groton Town Council. This background in local government gives her the opportunity to be an effective leader on day one in the mayor’s office.

  • Ensure we remain intact as Groton City
  • Develop long-term strategy for EB growth and changes at Pfizer
  • Maintain fiscally responsible budget
  • Prioritize revitalization of Thames St. with common-sense zoning, parking options and promoting tree lined/shaded walkable areas
  • Continue to develop our parks and public recreation spaces, including walking and hiking trails and public access to Thames St.
  • Build positive City work environment with mentoring and fair union contracts
  • Promote the City of Groton as a great place to live, work and play through great public work services, walkable and safe neighborhoods, inviting parks, events and our beautiful beach.
  • Hear from and listen to all our residents!
